무연고 보호 종료 청소년 후원을 위한 프로젝트 진행 과정
-기간 : 2022년 8월 ~ 10월
- 대상 : 무연고 보호 종료 청소년들
[무연고란 혈연이나 법률적 관계 따위가 없는 것으로, 무연고 청소년이란 연고나 연고지가 없는 청소년들을 의미한다]
- 목적 : 보육원 출신 이었던 아이들은 어느 정도 나이가 되면 보호 시설에서 나와 독립을 해야만 한다.
이들은 나와 나이차이가 나지 않는 동나이대 청소년들이다. 같은 나이에 이런 상황에 놓인 이들이
독립적인 생활을 할 수 있는 사회구성원으로써 지낼 수 있도록 돕고자 모금 행사를 했다
- Research : 다양한 기사들을 찾아보고, 이런 청소년들을 돕고 있는 단체 중 새싹 단체를 지인을 통해 알게 되고
필요한 내용을 SNS로 커뮤니케이션 함.
.... " 매년 전국에서 2500여 명, 도내에선 400여 명이 만 18세에 아동양육시설 등에서 퇴소하지만 절반 가량이
거주할 곳을 마련하지 못하고 있단다. 따라서 이들의 자립에 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 보육시설에서 나온
청년들에겐 1인당 500만 원 정도의 자립정착금이 한번 지급되고, 3년 동안 지방정부가 월 30만 원 정도를
지급한다. 그러나 사회 경험이 없는 이들은 이마저도 제대로 관리·유지하지 못하는 경우가 많다고 한다.
이른 시기에 홀로 삶을 꾸려가야 하는 어려움을 겪고 있다.
청년이라곤 하지만 18세는 어린 나이다. 부모 슬하에 있다면 의식주와 학업 등 모든 것을 지원받는다.
소위 ‘금수저’라면 앞날도 보장받는다. 그러나 이들은 자신의 삶을 온전히 혼자서 책임져야 한다.
충분한 준비도 없이 살던 곳을 떠나 자립을 시작한다는 것은 결코 쉬운 일이 아니다.
현실의 장벽은 높고 견고하다. 경제적인 어려움과 심리·사회적인 어려움까지 겪고 있다. 퇴소 청소년 중
약 36%가 5년 이내에 기초생활수급자가 되어 경제적 어려움에 직면하고 있다".......

- Fundraising : 새싹 단체에서 무연고 보호 종료 청소년들을 위한 다양한 활동과 통합적인 멘토링 프로그램들을 진행하고
있다는 부분 들을 알게 되어 이런 현황을 정리하고 이들을 돕기 위한 공식적인 크라우드 펀딩 사이트를
여러 군데 찾아 보았다. 그 중 크라우드펀딩 오마이컴퍼니 (ohmycompany.com)라는 사이트에
펀딩 기획서를 작성해서 내고, 몇번의 수정을 통해 사이트에 내용이 실리게 되었다.
이를 주변 사람들에게 알리고 자발적으로 후원 해 주실 것을 안내함.

펀딩 모금에 대한 홍보를 진행함
- Management : 후원금 관리 및 후원자 관리, STS 활동의 투명성을 위하여 개설하였음. 예산 관리는 후원금 통장 관리를
통해 철저하게 이루어 짐. 후원자에게는 후원 내역을 상세히 알릴 예정
- Feedback : 새싹 단체에 펀딩 후원금을 기부 하고 기부금 영수증을 피드백 받아 후원자들(구매자들)에게 뉴스 레터나
동영상으로 전달해 줄 예정

- Period : August 2022 - October 2022
- Target : The aged-out orphaned youth from social welfare
[The aged-out orphaned group is a youth group over 18 years old who still need financial support for a living but can no longer receive the governmental welfare support because of their age in South Korea]
- Purpose: Orphans over 18 have to come out from orphanage and live independently.
I proceed the funding project for them being in this situation at the same age with me to live
independently in this society.
- Research : We found various articles and we were known ‘Sessak’ from one of my friend and
we communicated the necessary details through SNS.
" Every year, about 2,500 people from all over the country are discharged from childcare facilities at the age of 18, but about half of them are unable to find a place to live. Therefore, it will be great help to their independence. A self-reliance settlement amount of about 5 million won per person is provided to young people who have left childcare facilities once, and the local government pays about 300,000 won a month for three years. However, someone failed to manage and maintain properly without social experience. At an early age, they are struggling to lead a life on their own. 18 is a young age. If you are under the care of parents, you receive support for everything including food, clothing, shelter, and schoolwork.
However, they must take full responsibility for their own lives. It's not easy to start becoming independent without adequate preparation. The barriers to reality are high and solid. They are experiencing economic hardship as well as psychological and social difficulties.
About 36% of discharged youth become recipients of basic livelihood within 5 years and face economic difficulties."..

- Fundraising : We found out that ‘Sessak’(organization) is running a variety of activities and integrated mentoring programs for orphaned youths who are aged-out from welfare. To help ‘Sessak’,
we searched the crowdfunding sites and we selected ohmycompany.com (ohmycompany.com). After that we created a funding plan and submitted it, and through several revisions,
the content was published on ohmycompany.com .
We Informed this project to the people and guide them to voluntarily support.

💙 Intention of Project
[Sending to the aged-out orphaned youth from welfare with love and happiness]
We believe that education is a fundamental human right and that everyone in the pursuit of knowledge should have equal opportunity. We believe that when the desired education goes smoothly, there is hope for young people and that they can go closer to happiness.
With these values and philosophy, we would like to help ‘Sessak’, a non-profit organization, that supports the full potential of individual aged-out orphaned youths from welfare and continues to practice an integrated mentoring program. If you give these young people the belief that they are with people who can give them love and happiness, they will plan for a better future.
Collecting these meanings, STS has designed a project to support ‘Sessak’, which has been caring for the aged-out orphaned youth from welfare for a long time as an organization that delivers warmth and hope to all places in need of help.
We want to help them to lead independent lives and nurture them as members of society when they become university students. For this, we made a pouch and griptok were designed by kunst&D studio with the special meaning of the fairy tale story ‘blue bird’ containing the love and happiness of ‘Sessak’.

“Sessak”(sprout in English) is interpreted in two ways by separating the words “new” and “sprout”. Although the images given by “sprout” and “new” are not exactly the same, they have one thing in common: they can associate the words “hope” and “happiness”. We can know hope and happiness always seem like a far away from you but they are actually in your heart as the ending of the fairy tale ‘Blue Bird’ suggests. But if your life is hard right now, it's hard to see what's in your heart. We put this message in pouch and griptok.

STS will donate the funding money to the aged-out orphaned youth from welfare in Sessak organization.
STS wants to help the aged-out orphaned youth with emotional and financial support because the right time of Sessak mentoring program is senior high school. STS needs people’s deeply interest for their clear smile.

이에 STS (Shoulder to shoulder)는 무연고 보호 종료 청소년들 개개인의 잠재력을 지지하고, 통합적인 멘토링 프로그램을 꾸준히 실천해 가는 비영리 시설인 '새싹(sessak)'을 지원하고자 프로젝트를 기획하였습니다.
한데 모여 사랑과 행복을 줄 수 있는 사람들이 있다는 믿음을 준다면 청소년들이 더 나은 미래를 향해 나아갈 수 있을 것입니다. 보호 종료 청소년들이 대학생이 되었을 때에도 독립적인 생활을 잘 이어나가 사회 구성원으로서 생활활 수 있도록 보탬이
되고자 합니다.

💙 진행자 소개
STS(Shoulder to shoulder)는 우리가 모두 하나이고 서로에게 의지할 수 있다는 의미를 가지고 있습니다. 우리가 모두 동등하고 같은 위치에 있다는 것을 뜻하기도 합니다. STS는 전 세계 사람들이 인간으로서 평등한 권리를 누릴 수 있도록 손을 맞잡고,
함께하자는 목표로 만들어진 단체로서 Covid-19가 성행하였던 2020년에 가장 고통받고 있을 사람들을 돕기 위한 마음으로 설립되었습니다.
